COMMON QUESTIONS
These are some of the most common questions we hear from customers asking about Blundstone boot repair.
Q: The Blundstone website says it is not practical to replace or repair the soles. Have you had much feedback from customers getting this done?
A: We have resoled thousands of Blundstones with very good results. Many new shoe companies discourage repair work, but that does not mean the boots cannot be rebuilt properly. In fact, many customers tell us their repaired boots feel even more comfortable than before, probably because the resoling process brings the soles and heels back to an even, balanced level—much like a new pair.
Q: How much new life does a new Vibram sole add?
A: The replacement soles we use are not the hard type of Vibram that some people think of first. They are lightweight, slightly cushioned, and still very durable. Most customers can expect to get about the same amount of wear—or even more—than they got from the original soles.
Q: Does the adhesive ever separate during wet or snowy weather?
A: We resole many shoes and boots here in western Oregon, where we get plenty of rain, especially during the wet season. If our adhesives did not hold up in wet weather, we would not still be doing this work.
Q: Can you resole the Blundstone stitchdown boots?
A: Sorry, we are not able to resole the newer Blundstone stitchdown styles.
